I am so excited to finally be able to share the opening of J.D.’s closet with you.
Also, from the many emails I have received expressing your interest; it is a pleasure to be able to present a bit of history in, not only the life of J.D. Sumner, but also his remarkable relationship with Elvis Presley. 
New things will be added each week from our collection and we hope there is something for everyone.
Because of the uniqueness of each item, the invoicing and payment will be handled more on an individual basis. I also am offering on certain items, a reserve opportunity which allows the cost to be made in payments, the details of which will be explained with those items.   

Noted: Each custom framed collectable is completed in archival format, including acid free mounting and UV clear glass for presentation and preservation, unless otherwise noted. Some items are presented in a two sided format, showing all details of the object.  

The items will be numbered as presented beginning with #101.
Each item will come with a card of authenticity, which includes my personal signature.
Shipping, handling and insurance is not included in the price quoted and will be added.

#102 PULLOVER SWEATER

#103 OLEG CASSINI DRESS SHIRTS

In the mid 1970’/ early 1980’s, J.D. Sumner wore what became his signature shirt. It was one made was made by Oleg Cassini for Boonshaft. J.D.only wore French cuffs and collar dress shirts.

As I unpacked these recently, I remembered the day the big box was delivered to the office while daddy was out of town. My mother appeared at my office door and said, “Well, there is no telling what you daddy has bought now”. As we pulled one shirt after another from the enormous box, we began to laugh. He had purchased himself, one in every color of the most gorgeous shirts I had ever seen.

There were some thirty beautiful shirts, in all the colors of the rainbow and all in size 161/2 35/36. It was a joy to watch the way he shopped. Daddy didn’t like to shop except in a hurry. If he did fancy something, and he could afford it, he bought one in every color. I loved his spirit and his passion for life. It came across in everything he did. He enjoyed these shirts and I hope you enjoy the memory.

Each shirt is by Oleg Cassini for Boonshaft. The fabric content is not listed but it would be a cotton/poly blend. French cuffs and collar were the style of this era. There are no pockets. There is an embroidered Crest/Insignia on the left front side of the shirt. Each shirt is size 161/2 by 35/36. The colors are photographed in groups.
